Simon Andriesz, a British banker known for exposing business ties between Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide, according to reports from The Banker. His death has drawn attention and concern from political figures and whistleblowing communities alike.

Revelations Linking Lutnick to Epstein

Earlier this year, Simon Andriesz provided House lawmakers with details revealing that Howard Lutnick, a prominent businessman and Commerce Secretary, maintained business connections with Jeffrey Epstein. Andriesz, who had worked under Lutnick at a Cantor Fitzgerald Group-owned company, discovered the links by searching Justice Department files related to Epstein using Lutnick’s initials, “HWL.”

These findings showed that Lutnick and Epstein were involved in business together as recently as 2014 and maintained contact through at least 2018. This contradicted Lutnick’s earlier claim that he had severed ties with Epstein in 2005.

Response and Repercussions

While Lutnick was compelled to retract his previous statements about Epstein, he has not faced any criminal charges or accusations of wrongdoing. The revelations nevertheless stirred public interest and political scrutiny.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and others noted the significance of Andriesz’s disclosures. Matthew Wingell, a New Jersey gubernatorial candidate and businessman, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “It’s not a game folks.”

Andriesz’s Death and Community Reaction

Simon Andriesz’s death at 57 was confirmed by Andy Agathangelou, founder of a nonprofit that had hosted events related to whistleblowing alongside Andriesz. Agathangelou expressed deep sadness over the loss, saying, “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Simon Andriesz, a valued member of our community, passed away last week.”

His passing has reignited concerns about the safety of those involved in exposing Epstein-linked individuals. British filmmaker and podcaster Richard Willett reacted grimly, writing, “And on it goes.” Meanwhile, the independent research project ParaPower Mapping, hosted by Klonny Gosch, remarked, “It’s happening again,” referencing the series of deaths among Epstein-connected figures.

Context of Epstein-Linked Deaths

Andriesz’s death is part of a troubling pattern involving individuals connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s network who have died under suspicious or sudden circumstances. This pattern has fueled speculation and ongoing investigations into the broader Epstein saga.

The ongoing public interest in Epstein-linked figures, including high-profile business and political leaders, continues to shape discourse around accountability and transparency.

Simon Andriesz’s death marks a solemn moment in the unfolding story of Epstein’s influence and those courageous enough to expose it. The community of whistleblowers and political watchers will be closely monitoring developments as investigations continue.
