MS NOW’s Jen Psaki described President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday as “his most unhinged performance” to date. Speaking ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, Psaki called out Trump for his increasingly erratic remarks amid poor polling for the GOP.

Psaki Highlights Trump’s ‘Bizarre Tangent’ on Doctors

Psaki zeroed in on a particularly striking moment from Trump’s speech, where he made an unusual claim about the medical professionals who travel with him. Trump said, “I travel with more doctors than any … if people get sick in the audience, they don’t, they leave them alone. You know what they call them? Collateral damage. If that person, right over there, a friend of mine, he looks like ****, actually. He looks like he’s ready to have a heart attack. If he actually had a heart attack, you know what my doctors would do? They’d follow the president or presidents? They would leave him alone. I’d say, ‘Please help him.’ ‘No, sir. We can’t leave your side.’ I said, ‘But he’s dying of a heart attack.’ ‘Sir. He’s collateral damage.’ Can you believe it?”

Psaki, who served as White House press secretary for President Joe Biden, expressed shock at Trump’s remarks, responding, “I’m sorry, what? What? Also, that’s not what they would do.”

Psaki on Trump’s Strategy and GOP Accountability

While acknowledging that it’s tempting to dismiss Trump’s frequent outlandish statements as mere nonsense designed to distract, Psaki warned that the consequences are serious. She argued that “every single Republican in every single race in the country should have to answer for the things Donald Trump is saying right now.”

Psaki pointed to other controversial comments from Trump’s address that she believes deserve scrutiny, including his call for leakers to be shot, his gratitude to Qatar for his new Air Force One, and his assertion that high oil prices are beneficial.

Context of the Rally Ahead of Midterm Elections

The rally took place as the GOP faces challenges in polling just weeks ahead of the 2026 midterms. Psaki suggested that Trump is “unraveling at a pace we haven’t really seen” and is “making less and less sense.” This rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, stands out as a particularly intense example of his recent rhetoric.

Psaki’s Warning on the Impact of Trump’s Remarks

Psaki cautioned that while some may laugh off Trump’s statements, they reflect a broader strategy to distract voters. However, she emphasized the importance of holding Republicans accountable for supporting Trump’s statements and the potential fallout in elections nationwide.

As the midterms approach, the spotlight on Trump’s rallies and rhetoric is intensifying, with voices like Psaki’s demanding that the GOP address the implications of his words.
